In the Spotlight: Recognizing the Brilliance of Black Voices in Sports Storytelling

As part of NBCUniversal, SportsEngine strives to recognize the value and impact of diverse perspectives in the youth and recreational space. Still, this month, we're taking an extra special moment to highlight those making their own Black History in sport.

SportsEngine has met with a lengthy list of influential creators and athletes pushing the envelope in sports, from podcast interviews to editorials. Here are a few of the top voices you should tune into:

1) Justin Prettyman, Executive Director, 49ers Foundation

There's no question that businesses can make a big impact in their communities with investments in youth sports.  Justin Prettyman, Executive Director of the San Francisco 49ers Foundation shares his experience of how the organization is doing just that in the Bay Area.
